A WAY TO EAT
Keep a few good things on hand.
Not too much. Just enough to make a meal with what's in season.
Some cooked grain - warm or cool.
A few vegetables, blanched or roasted.
One simple protein.
A pot of beans.
A jar of vinaigrette you made yourself.
These can become anything:
A bowl.
A soup.
A sandwich.
Lunch can be what's left from dinner.
Dinner can be what's fresh from the market.
Eat whole, good, unprocessed foods.
And feel free to eat a lot of it.
Keep your pantry modest but thoughtful.
Olive oil you love. A vinegar or two.
A few mustards. A tin of anchovies.
Something salty, something spicy, something bright.
Shop often.
Taste before you season.
Use what you have.
It's not about having everything -
It's about noticing what's good, and letting it shine.Eat real food.
Eat with gratitude.
Eat together, when you can.
That's enough.
