A HISTORIC INTERIOR OF QUIET DEPTH
AND TIMELESS CHARM

Perched atop a landmark building in Greenwich Village, this penthouse residence offers a singular, sunlit space designed for beauty and ease.

Reis Daniel introduced a custom screen to subtly divide the open floor plan, bringing visual clarity without sacrificing the home’s ethereal flow. The result is both organized and atmospheric—structured yet serene.

Throughout, mid-century furnishings anchor the space in warmth and elegance, while accents of the owner’s favorite vibrant orange lend a personal spark. A custom fireplace mantle, wrapped in artisanal tile, serves as the apartment’s emotional and visual heart—a piece that unites artistry with quiet utility.

This is a home that honors its historic roots while embracing a fresh, confident point of view.

A serendipitous visit to New York's Soho Grand Hotel sparked the inspiration for our custom fireplace surround. Captivated by Thomas O'Brien's sophisticated design sensibility, we collaborated with Heath Ceramics in San Francisco to create these handcrafted tiles in a striking slate blue. When standard options fell short of our vision, Heath's artisans helped bring our perfect tile to life, transforming the fireplace into a centerpiece that balances modern craftsmanship with timeless elegance.
